Rose House

Rose House is a warm and welcoming registered care home, located close to the busy town centre of Gillingham in Kent.  The property provides a safe, comfortable environment in which we deliver 24-hour care and support for up to 18 adults with learning disabilities and/or physical, high care and/or complex needs, including dementia.The home’s individual and communal rooms are located over three floors and have a light and airy feel to its individual and communal rooms. It is wheelchair accessible, with lift/wheelchair access to most floors.

Rose House has 18 recently refurbished single bedrooms. Most include en suite facilities, for privacy and to enable the service user to be as independent as possible in their personal care. All rooms at the home are furnished to a high standard and residents are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms, which have their own television point, with furniture and other items of their choice.

The large dining room is used by service users for meals, house meetings and activities while the newly refitted kitchen is available for service users, as well as staff, to prepare meals and to help develop residents’ practical independent living skills.

Rose House also includes a conservatory and a large and attractive garden, including seating areas, for residents to enjoy peaceful time on their own or take part in group activities on warmer days. They also grow fruit and vegetables in the garden’s raised beds, which are used in meals prepared at the home. At Eleanor Care Homes, the health and well-being of our residents are key priorities. Rose House’s team are able to cater for any specialist diets, including vegetarian and diabetic diets, and we provide regular access to a chiropodist. We also support residents with visits to the doctor or dentist, as and when required.

The home has its own wheelchair-accessible minibus, both to enable residents to access destinations to which public transport is not readily accessible and for day trips and outings. For longer trips and holidays, our support staff can provide continuity and consistency of care by supporting residents while they are away.
