All Eleanor Care Transport’s patient transport vehicles undergo regular checks and monitoring and are maintained to the highest standard, under the supervision of our fleet manager.
We operate a variety of patient transport vehicles, to meet the mobility and support needs of patients, and our fleet includes saloon cars, stretcher vehicles, wheelchair vehicles, carry chair vehicles and those with oxygen facilities.
Typical patient transport vehicles within the Eleanor Care Transport fleet include:
An important part of our ambulance and medical transport service is to operate as efficiently as possible at every level, so we have introduced pioneering patient transport software that moves beyond simply logging data to providing real time management of patient journeys and proactive alerts to ensure patient safety.
Data keyed in by our patient transport drivers via smartphones alerts our control team to any potential delay to a vehicle, so that clients can be kept fully informed. The system also enables us to track other quality-related issues, such as completion of daily vehicle checks and the mileage of each vehicle.
As a patient transport service, we are conscious of our impact on the environment and have developed an in-house environmental management system to help us identify areas where we can improve.
As part of this, we are always exploring more efficient ways to operate our medical and ambulance transport vehicles and maximising the fuel efficiency of our operations is a key priority.
